Lt. Gen. Sami Sadat, a formidable Afghan military leader, now chairs the Afghanistan United Front, spearheading the resistance against the Taliban. Formerly commanding the Afghan Special Operations and the 215 Maiwand Corps, Sadat turned 2019 into a devastating year for the Taliban, decimating 30% of their combat strength.
As head of covert operations, he led elite counter-terrorism missions, notably rescuing hostages from Al-Qaeda and eliminating key terrorists, including the mastermind behind Benazir Bhutto's assassination.
