In this episode, we consider three additional arguments in support of parallelism as the organizing principle of the book of Revelation.
The three arguments are:

  • NUMEROLOGICAL TIME-PERIODS
  • COSMIC GEOGRAPHY
  • GLOBALISM AS A REBELLION

These podcast episodes glean from these primary sources:
Beale, G.K., The Book of Revelation, 1998
Hendriksen, William, More Than Conquerors, 1979
Heiser, Michael, John's Use of the Old Testament in the Book of Revelation, 2021
Brooks, Richard, The Lamb is all the Glory, 1993
Longman III, Tremper Revelation Through Old Testament Eyes, A Background and Application Commentary, 2022
Morris, Leon, The Book of Revelation: An Introduction and Commentary, 1987
Koester, Craig, Revelation and the End of all Things, 2018

Of primary note are the introductory chapters on the structure and outline of the book of Revelation in William Hendriksen's great work, More Than Conquerors. In terms of introductory material on the book of Revelation, his content is priceless and is a living testament to this great scholar's exegetical as well as spiritual accomplishments.
