We have a bright future ahead of us, as we clamber out of the rubble of history and into our bright new future. We build that future now, the choices we make today will carry forward, and determine if our communities in our cultures survive, thrive, or wither way into nothing.

Another late night recording from Sage against the Machine podcast. Today Isaac and Joshua have a conversation that meanders for a while before locking in on a foundational issue for the community of Akwesasne, and no doubt your community as well.

After a half hour muse on the national US election and middle east chaos, the fellas steer to the topic of domestic violence.

It's a tough subject for many, and we may have been conditioned to sweep it under the rug. October is domestic violence awareness month, and we're talking about it. If you're sensitive to this topic, be forwarned.

Family is foundational for our communities and creating a path to wellness out of the destruction wrought by genocidal policies of the past will be instrumental in that bright future.
