Thank you for joining me for another episode of Talking with the Pros. Today we are talking with Ryan Thorp, “RT”. RT is a long time resident of Las Vegas, having grown up here and completed all levels of his education in the valley. He graduated from UNLV in 2013 with a BA in Broadcast Journalism and quickly began working in local news as a video editor. Looking for something of a change, Ryan left that position in early 2017 to pursue other endeavors. After a brief time off, Ryan began working at UNLV-TV. Ryan now teaches classes in the school of journalism and is a mentor to nearly all students pursuing media production and broadcasting at UNLV. He also works professionally as a director for a local news affiliate.
