SVCF has created the Silicon Valley Community Advisory Council that engages leaders of color to help us implement the strategies and policies to address the nation’s systemic disparities. Today, Mauricio Palma, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives at SVCF hosts Debra Watkins, Founder, President, and Executive Director of A Black Education Network and member of SVCF Community Advisory Council, and Dr. Darlene Willis, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Concerned Parents Alliance and College Bound Programs. In today’s discussion, they will be talking about how cultural disparities, along with the COVID-19 crisis, are affecting black children in our country.

In SVCF’s Philanthropy Now podcast series, we explore trends in the world of philanthropy, social impact initiatives in Silicon Valley and beyond, and we look at how SVCF promotes innovative philanthropic solutions to challenging problems.
