In january of 2011 the powers that be at USF shut down 90.3FM KUSF, a terrestrial radio station that had been broadcasting in San Francisco since 1977. Within a few months, the Save KUSF movement had picked up enough momentum that those who were ousted forged a startup internet station called KUSF IN EXILE (now SFCR) thanks to the assistance of WFMU, 'broadcasting' from a rented room in SF's Light Rail Studios. Meanwhile, yours truly was at home recuperating from some health issues, teaching himself to play the bongos, and producing a 3 hour weekly prerecorded show that ran on KUSF IN EXILE during his noon to three time slot.
