Sometimes churches create the illusion that God’s timeless truths are outdated and out-of-touch

Modern Take:
Personal happiness is what matters most
Freedom means “no restraints”, so if it feels good do it.

All our romantic wishes deserve to be met
Sex is only physical, it’s disconnected from our emotions, hearts, and souls
Love is whatever we want it to be, so trust your feelings

How do we not get misled by either the church or culture?

Just because something is “good” doesn’t mean it erases the damage of misuse
