In the final sermon of the Advent series, we looked at the essence of Christmas. What is Christmas really about? Christmas isn’t merely the celebration of the birth of Jesus, but it is the celebration of God’s plan to rescue sinners through Jesus. God gave his Son as a gift to us, that He would live a perfect life, die a sacrificial death and resurrect victoriously over death. Through faith in Him, we can have peace with God and peace with our fellow man. Through God’s gift, His one and only Son, we can be transformed from enemies of God to children of God by faith.
