In May 2023, a tragic murder-suicide occurred in Salt Lake City, Utah. Parth Gandhi, a neuropsychologist, shot and killed his 16-year-old son, Om, before taking his own life. The incident happened at Parth's workplace. Reports indicate there was an ongoing custody dispute between Parth and Om's mother, who had raised concerns about Parth's behavior. This case garnered attention due to Parth's profession and the mother's efforts to advocate for stronger child protection laws.
