WELCOME TO SMART Enterprising Women

A community for enterprising women in any stage of life.

I am Carol Parker and will be your host during this journey. As one of many mature enterprising women who has experienced many different life paths, as most women have, the ideas offered here are some I have used. Who is Carol Parker? Short version –entrepreneur, speaker, trainer, mentor, podcaster, university business & entrepreneurship educator, real estate agent, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and an enterprising woman.

Mature enterprising women include those who have any of the following qualities:

· an independent energetic spirit and readiness to act

· good at thinking of and doing new and difficult things

· willing to try out new, unusual ways of doing or achieving something.

· imagination, initiative, and readiness to undertake new

· resourcefulness, and drive to recognize opportunities, and the motivation to make the most of them.

· desire to consider opportunities whenever they through present themselves

· courage to accept risk

· enthusiastic and willing to do new, clever, and difficult things

· Taking or willing to take risks: adventuresome, adventurous, audacious, bold, daredevil, daring, venturesome, venturous.

Most mature enterprising women are visionary problem solvers. It’s the mindset we have, it’s a part of us. We love to ‘fix’ things. We are solution finders. The challenge we have is we also feel a need for validation for our efforts, and if we don’t receive validation, we often view the ideas as invalid.

The reality is, the ideas may have been excellent ideas, however SMART Enterprising Women sometimes communicate with the wrong people for validation, or SMART Enterprising Women don't present the idea in a way that it was understood.

This educational series purpose is to help SMART Enterprising Women develop ideas to determine their viability for enterprise. Is it really a solution to a problem? Does the problem really need ‘fixing’? And so many more questions.
