Scott LaPierre is a pastor, writer, Army veteran, husband and the author of Your Marriage God's Way: A Biblical Guide to a Christ-Centered Relationship. He's also the father of nine kids!

After college, Scott served as an officer in the Army. Once he left the military, he started teaching elementary school and that's where he became a Christian. He thought he would be a school teacher and coach the rest of his life, but then he found his passion for teaching decreasing and his passion for ministry increasing.

"I kind of wanted to tell people to open their Bibles versus telling kids to open their math books," he says in this episode.

He transitioned into a part-time ministry position while teaching before the church hired him full-time. In 2010, he and his wife founded Woodland Christian Church in southwest Washington where he's been the teaching pastor since.
