The ancestry question was omitted from the Iraqi census, which began on November 20, 2024. While many are likely dissatisfied with this decision, there has been no public protest or objection. As a result, the actual population of Chaldeans, Assyrians, and Syriacs in Iraq remains unknown. They will now have to wait another 10 years to determine their true numbers.
