We're back! This week, Diarmuid sits down with researchers Patrick Brodie and Patrick Bresnihan to talk about their article on data centres which appeared in issue one of our sister magazine, Rupture. They discuss the role of data centres on the Irish economy, and their disastrous impact on our energy output and the environment.

Patrick Bresnihan is a lecturer in the Department of Geography at Maynooth University. Patrick has worked in fields of urban political ecology, science and technology studies, and environmental humanities.

Patrick Brodie is a media scholar and Postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University in Montreal. His research focuses on the global and environmental politics of data and energy systems.

We would encourage everyone listening to have a read of the article which both guests wrote for Rupture Magazine. It can be found here.
