As we continue exploring Living in God's Amazing Grace:
God’s Grace and God’s Spirit are not mere window dressing. Christians aren’t simply people who have put off one set of clothes and put on a new set of clothes; the “change” isn’t just outward. NO, we are entirely new creations! Much of this has been accomplished for us – by God this is what has been done to us by God, because of our faith in Christ Jesus we are raised with Christ; we are with Christ in heaven; we have taken off the old self; and v.10 we have put on our new
self.
That said, given what God has done to/for us – in Christ – we have a new calling [we’re to live as light/salt in this world as a result of what he has done]; how? By paying attention to the imperatives in our text/passage:
By setting our minds on things above; by putting to death practices that belon go our old earthly nature; by riding ourselves of practices that characterized the unregenerate self.
self.

We are called to become in daily experience what we are in Christ.
