In this episode, we’ll explore urbanisation, the process of an increasing proportion of people living in urban areas. We’ll compare urbanisation patterns across different income levels, highlighting examples from high-income countries like the UK, where counter-urbanisation is occurring, to low-income countries like Ethiopia, which are expected to urbanise rapidly. We’ll also examine newly emerging economies like China, where urbanisation is happening at a fast pace.
