THE BARDCAST - Sarah de Nordwall - B Side of #24
Manage episode 440573350 series 3404744
In this experience of Bardschool on air, Sarah and Tim explore the themes of Ep 24, asking what can educate our desire, in what way are evil choices really due to a lack of imagination and what makes creativity virtuous?
What is the opposite of creativity?
The Christian contemplative who is creative is seen to be essential to building a culture that is not dangerous to the human person.
With insights from Godfrey Orr, aged 16 and Sarah’s poem “If your name was a temple Mary,” we begin this new season with a fresh sense of mission founded on the love of goodness and the chance to turn suffering into a meaning that brings life. No simulacra here, please!
And don’t miss finding out what happens when you try to grow a rose in space.
THE BARDCAST airs live and can be listened to on www.RadioMariaEngland.uk or digital radio in London, Bristol, South Birmingham and Cambridge at 3:15pm after the Divine Mercy Chaplet on Sundays and 8pm on Fridays. Each week Sarah de Nordwall reflects on poems that have been sent in, shares a poem of her own, leaves us with a theme and a writing prompt and sends us off to write something ourselves.
