Have you ever felt like you're competing for love or attention only to come up short? Have you ever been overlooked or trapped in a situation beyond your control? In Genesis 29-30, we meet Leah and Rachel, two sisters locked in an intense rivalry, each trying to win their husband's affection. (yep, two wives, one husband… we'll talk about that, too). They're both caught in a cycle of jealousy and heartache, hoping that having children will do two things: make them feel valued and win their husbands' approval. But even in the messiness of their lives, there's a reminder that they're not alone—God is still at work. In this video, we'll discuss what to do when you're caught between comparison and competition. Together, we'll learn how to let go of the pressures we face and embrace the life and love God has for us.
