What would be his position on the border? Aren’t all welcome into the Kingdom .. or is there a vetting process first? Those that argue we need to be more compassionate…aren’t they the same folks that want abortion in the case of rape? Would rapes go down significantly, if the border was closed, people were vetted first and violators of women’s rights to live free and unharmed were upheld and enforced by stricter law & order?
Who did God choose to use in the past to lead the people?
Nehemiah- a man of prayer, compassion for his people with multiple skill sets willing to deploy them for the good of his people.
Samuel for his vision
Solomon for his wisdom
David for his faith in God
Rehab for her discernment
Job endured unearned abuse; Daniel would not bow to the king
Prophets for their honest assessment
But remember, not one was perfect, but their gifts were deployed.
He also used evil corrupt kings to punish his people for idol worship and for not following Gods laws and to humble the people back to seeking Gods face.
So it’s possible, that God could choose Marxist and Socialist, like he used the Babylonians, Philistines, and others to wreak havoc of the land in hopes that people would turn back to God.
Who would our enemies prefer?
Would they not prefer someone they could manipulate, someone weak, someone that would capitulate to their every desire?
China was heavily invested in Biden and now will settle for Harris.
Russia doesn’t want Trump. Putin wants to continue unchecked.
Iran doesn't want to be broke again and is trying to assassinate Trump.
Each of these countries desires a weaker leader for America, not a strong leader like Trump. You need to understand why and the consequences should our enemy gets their way.
So where do we go from here? What do we individually wrestle with in making a Godly choice?
What characteristics would we choose to focus on, prioritize or elevate if we desired strong, respected, leadership?
How would each candidate represent us on the global front?
Considering the priorities, motivations and tactics of our enemies, we should value highly our candidates ability to confront and influence bullies, dictators and war mongers. A street wise leader that does not bend the knee to corruption or manipulation. Someone proven to be well able to shoulder the abuse and personal assaults, while remaining focused on the values that are best for all Americans.
