Humor writer and cartoonist, José Arroyo joins us on the podcast this week. José Has been a writer for Jay Leno, Dennis Miller, Bill Maher and most recently, Conan O'Brien. He has been a contributor to the New Yorker since 2008.
José tells us about his start as a Humorist, how he started writing for Jay Leno and found his way to The Conan O'Brien show. Somewhere in there he managed to become a New Yorker cartoonist. He also lets us in on what he's currently up to and what he'd like to be doing in the next year.
José was a great guest with many insights into how to be funny!

On Part 1 of the episode, we discuss...
Vin was unable to join the podcast this week, but we had frequent visiter, Nicole Chrolavicius join us. In fact, she is such a frequent visitor, that we've decided to make Nicole an official member of the podcast team, She is now an official co-host! We've doubled her wages (still $0.00!) and a gave her a key to the executive washroom, located in sunny Sacramento, California.
For this week's contests we discuss...
The winning caption for New Yorker contest #861 (Croquet Corral).
Finalists for contest #863 (Wire you here in this office?).
Current New Yorker contest #865 (Dog-night After Moon).
