As the department grows, it is imperative to not lose sight of the past. You cannot progress forward without knowing where you came from andChief Yahr is passionate about the department's foundation. History matters and it can influence the decisions of today. Chief Yahr is excited for the growth and continues to push his people to provide the best service they can for their community. The Chief is "not an office guy" and loves to be in the trenches with his firefighters. Fostering an environment of promoting his people and letting them work has remained a core focus for Chief Yahr. Firemanship matters in Lakewood, NJ and Chief Yahr will protect this at all costs.
