Narada Bhakti Sutra - Narada's Aphorisms on Love and Devotion

In this discourse Our Spiritual Master KrsnaKnows expounds the Bhakti Yoga Sutras (Path of Love & Devotion) of Devrishi Naradmuni. Narada Bhakti Sutra Chapter 06 – Narada’s Aphorisms on Love Divine – Obstacles to Practice Devotion from Sutra 61 to 63.

Sutra 64: Pride, vanity, and such other vices; should be given up.

Sutra 65: Having dedicated all activities unto Him, one, should turn all his desire, anger, pride, etc., towards him alone.

Sutra 66: Going beyond the three-factors of experiences, Love, consisting of constant service, as in the case of a devoted servant or wife, alone should be practised.

Sutra 67: Devotees – whose sole, single goal is the Lord Himself and whose single-pointed devotion towards the Lord is for its own sake – are the primary(best).

Info: The Narada Bhakti Sutra (IAST: Nārada Bhakti Sūtra) is a well-known sutra venerated within the traditions of Hinduism, reportedly spoken by the famous sage, Narada. The text details the process of devotion (Bhakti), or Bhakti yoga and is thus of particular importance to many of the Bhakti movements within Hinduism. It has received particular attention among the Vaishnava traditions.

Within the text Narada explains the perfectional stage of pure devotion; the process to achieve this state; gives quotations from other Vedic personalities on the subject matter; things to avoid when developing bhakti, and finally explains the nature of selfless love and the different forms of attachment to the supreme person.
