Mary Robinson served as the first woman President of Ireland. She also served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy on Climate Change. She is a founding member and current Chair of The Elders, an independent group of global leaders formed by Nelson Mandela to tackle the world's most pressing problems.
