They’re Still Here is meant to be a podcast that strikes conversation about conservation. Hannah and Laila present research about a different species listed on the endangered species list in each episode. Each species deserves its own episode because each species is important. Learn how you can act and why it matters. Humans aren’t the only species left on earth that deserve to be here. There are still millions of other creatures sharing this planet. They’re Still Here.

In this episode, Hannah and Laila talk about the Monarch Butterfly. They learn more than they thought they would about this extraordinary insect. Hannah talks about their miraculous journey they take each year, the limits of their reproduction, and even an IMPOSTER? Laila tells us about the ways gardening can save the population, how avocados can kill butterflies, and taking care of the little guy. The Monarch Butterfly is a beautiful species that is endangered and the population is falling drastically. Studies show that the population recorded in the last year is less than 50% of what it was the previous year. Learn how you can help and spread the word.
