Telephone behavior in a cross-generation comparison

The smartphone enjoys great popularity across all age groups, but this can no longer be said of its original purpose: making phone calls. There is a trend away from this communication channel, especially among the younger population. Our recent study with 1,000 Austrian respondents reveals whether telephone calls are actually outdated, in which cases people still pick up the proverbial receiver and how telephony behavior differs between generations.
