A rambling screed, a paroxysm of oversharing, sordid details about what a young Batchelor gets up to in Amsterdam, all leading to a discussion of the lost function and the original purpose of art as a form of magickal invocation of one's inner Daimon, or inner genius. Ancient Egyptian art is still fascinating and uniquely psychoactive because it is an expression of the ancient, long lost mode of art that Hegel referred to as the Symbolic. It speaks directly to the right hemisphere and promotes understanding, lifting us up to the heights it radiates, making us a worthy vessel for the secrets of the universe it transmits.
This podcast was performed in a hybridisation of the styles of Garrison Keillor and the immortal Blue Jam radio programs created and performed by the comedic genius Chris Morris. Only nowhere near as good as either of them.
