Book The Delightful New Campground In The Heart Of The U.P.
Maris Brennan of MARVAC has traveled up to Newberry in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan today to chat with Brice and Vicki MacRoberts, owners of the new Kritters Campground. This is the first year they’ve been open after taking the campground over from its previous owners, rebranding it, and making updates to better serve the camping community. They offer 76 acres of wooded campground, 50 campsites including 10 tent sites and 40 RV sites, and year-round lodging including two cabins and one cottage. The campsites are open from May to October, and the lodging is available through the winter for snow sports enthusiasts.
Kritters Campground is centrally located in the Upper Peninsula to give campers easy access to some of the U.P.’s best attractions. You can access thousands of acres of trails, visit Tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rocks, take a day trip to see the Soo Locks, cuddle bears at Oswald’s Bear Ranch, or see sled dogs in training at MI Dog or Nature’s Kennel. At the campground, enjoy a game of horseshoes or cornhole, play basketball or sand volleyball, or take your kids to the playground or to the general store for ice cream.
Tune in to hear us chat with Brice and Vicki about:
● Why they quit their jobs and bought a campground in the U.P. when they’d never even visited before
● The #1 biggest crowd-pleasing update they made to their list of amenities
● Which one-of-a-kind nearby attractions campers shouldn’t miss – including one that sells a shirt that says, “I survived the drive to ________.”
● The best place to drink a beer at Tahquamenon Falls
● And what makes the U.P. the GREATEST place in Michigan
