People are emotional. They're not rational in the first moment. And logic comes later as a condition of our environment. And yet, high emotions play out all the time in important deal-making, and it can dramatically alter outcomes of those negotiations. But, it's not about ignoring your emotions. So, what then? This is why it's in my Top 10 list.
And item number 10? You're not going to want to miss that one!
And remember, these can be applied anywhere – buying a car, buying a house, buying a company! And certainly you should be trying these out - flexing your negotiation muscles - in your everyday life and interpersonal relationships. So drop me some comments and let me know how you get on.
