Why do we tell stories ? And what makes one story better than another? There have been many attempts over the years to understand the essential ingredients of a good story, but few have thought to first understand the engine that drives all stories - the human brain. Using The Science of Storytelling by Will Storr as a guide, I will explain how storytellers manipulate and compel us. By the end of this podcast, you will have some of the tools to tell better stories and also to make sense of our chaotic modern world, all while making progress with your English.
This podcast is for people who already have some understanding of English, but who want to learn in context, make progress, and communicate with other English speakers without having to read boring grammar books.
