Jewels says marriage should not be an aspirational goal, you don’t need a wedding to wear a dress and have a party if that’s really the point and there are a lot of good reasons to think long and hard before legally binding yourself to a partner. And a lot of stupid non-reasons that motivate some of us to do it anyway.
