Hazrat Isa al-Maseeh is so great that Allah tala send another messenger, Hazrat Yahya (AS) before Him to prepare the hearts of the people of God to receive al-Maseeh.
Hazret Yahya (AS) accomplished his purpose by proclaiming, "Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." Hazrat Yahya (AS) recognized Hazrat Isa al-Maseeh as the King of the Kingdom of Heaven. He knew that each person's responsibility was to repent and give their lives to Him as they saw His greatness. My hope is that you will also do the same today.
The story of Hazrat Yahya (AS) is one powerful picture of why the Muslim community needs the Injeel Sharif. The Qur'an only contains ten ayats that mention Hazrat Yahya (AS). However, the Injeel Sharif has over 100 ayats that detail his life. If we love the prophets, then we must do everything we can to understand their lives.
