Sam sifts through another pile of CVs as he hunts for a newsreader to tell the nation the big goings-on. Will Silky redeem himself after his previous dead studio audience choice? Which major TV personality will Tegan Marlow magically transform into? And how many times can Peter Buckley Hill plug his book Freeing the Edinburgh Fringe available at £7.99 from all good bookshops?
Warning: contains The Swears.
SILKY is a comedian, singer, songwriter, spy and even though he didn't mention it this episode a fantastic teacher of comedy and guitar too. Find him at https://silkythecomedian.com/
TEGAN MARLOW is a stand up comedian from Hampshire who started performing on the London open mic circuit in 2018. She is now living and (hopefully soon performing) in Manchester. She was a semi-finalist in the 2020 Max Turner Prize, and is currently exploring the world of sitcom-writing in lockdown. Find her on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCx6jGCuHBFj7uAldz7v2M7A
PETER BUCKLEY HILL is an ancient fossil that should never have been dug up from the primordial slime in which he lurked. Best known for founding the Free Fringe in Edinburgh with its 9000 performances in 23 days, obviously not all performed by PBH himself. He’s the author of Freeing the Edinburgh Fringe, a jolly splendid read at £7.99, if you like that sort of thing. Six albums of allegedly comic songs, each one worse than the one before. Only if you play them in that order, of course. He once rode 27 local buses over three days to get from London to Edinburgh on his bus pass, but cheated at Northallerton. He's at http://www.buckers.co.uk/
