Steve Merriman got his first big break in coaching as a freshman coach at the high school he graduated from. From their he went on to eventually coach in multiple Division 1 colleges and serve numerous roles in professional baseball, eventually landing him with his current role as the pitching coordinator for the Colorado Rockies.
