On the 12th of October, Baba Siddique, a prominent Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and a member of the ruling Mahayuti coalition in Maharashtra, was shot dead in Bandra. While the exact motive behind the killing remains unclear, the Mumbai police suspect that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was involved.
