This month marks the one-year anniversary of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hourglass looks back at how COVID-19 impacted local students in and out of the classroom and how a United Way-funded coalition of nonprofits aided young people, families, and communities during the pandemic.

In the photo are four students from two local nonprofits who offered their takes on schooling during COVID: Zeppelin Andrew (Kiowa) and Helena Johnny (Cowichan) of local nonprofit Red Eagle Soaring and Alondra Gonzalez and Miguel Bravo Monterrozo of Para Los Ninos.

We’ll also spotlight the South King County Food Coalition and an upcoming United Way event addressing housing insecurity.

Thanks for tuning in!
