Dr. Leland Tabares is a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at Loyola University New Orleans. Prior to this position, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow of Contemporary American Literature at Washington University in St. Louis and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Asian American Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His latest paper, "Misfit Professionals: Asian American Chefs and Restaurateurs in the Twenty-First Century" appears in the Summer 2021 issue of the journal Arizona Quarterly.
