In 2012 Karen’s ambition was to see her 40th birthday. Today, at 47 she’s the first disabled athlete to pull a MiG-15 and an F-104 Starfighter! She’s not a survivor, she is thriving. Karen Skalvoll suffers from a rare genetic condition that causes degenerative lung disease and has also broken the cycle of abuse that marred her childhood.
