Grip Strip Podcast Episode 235 - Working For Hardware

So, NASCAR’s Cup & XFinity were at Darlington this week. Big news: Chase Briscoe snagged the Southern 500 win and punched his playoff ticket, knocking out Kyle Busch in the process! Tyler Reddick wasn’t feeling too hot with a stomach bug but still managed to win the regular season by just a point over Larson. We’ll also chat about some other key players from the race and who's in or out for Atlanta. Plus, we got the points heading into Atlanta. Oh, and Christopher Bell took the XFinity race at Darlington - we’ll break down key players and the points update for the XFinity guys too as we head to Atlanta.

Now, onto the IndyCar Doubleheader at Milwaukee—Pato O’Ward took home the win on Saturday and Scott McLaughlin on Sunday! Meanwhile, Alex Palou is heading to Nashville with a 33-point lead over Whinge Power. There were some issues for Palou, Power, and a bunch of others throughout the weekend. We'll cover points as we gear up for the Nashville finale.

In F1, the Italian Grand Prix was a blast! Charl Eclair pulled off the win with a one-stop strategy, leaving the McLaren's behind. Piastri zipped past Norris on Lap 1 and kept his spot—was he supposed to let off at the end? Fish Lips didn't have a great weekend but still holds a solid 70-point lead. Mercedes basically had a weekend to forget. We'll hit on other key storylines, including the silly season, and get you the points as we head to Baku.

We’ll also do a quick NFL 2024 Season Preview for our teams and fantasy picks, GSP Roundup, F2/F3 at Monza, NHRA US Nationals, MotoGP/Moto2 at Aragon last week and Misano this week, Indy NXT at Milwaukee, WEC at CoTA, WRC Rally Greece, and WSBK at Magny-Cours. Finally, we’ll look forward to the NASCAR Cup and XFinity at Atlanta with some previews, picks, and the Tate Fogleman Algorithm. Don't miss Josh’s Sim Segment, either! Let’s wrap it up!
