Greg Lernihan: Doing the Loving Thing
Manage episode 395738843 series 3504851
Are you investing God’s money in His way or the world’s way?
In this episode, Jeff and Greg discuss:
- The early impressions we have of our parents and other influences.
- Treating people well and going through the doors God opens for you.
- Lessons learned from a calling to Haiti.
- Escaping the trap of toxic charity.
- Creating a culture of caring.
Key Takeaways:
- The days may be long, but the years are short.
- You don’t have to work solely with non-profit organizations in order to do good in the world. God can also do amazing things with for-profit organizations.
- You can support communities in ways that hurt them, or ways that help them. People want to be part of something bigger and want to be part of helping themselves.
- Everything belongs to God. It is possible for us to responsibly steward God’s money.
"If you really believe it is God’s money, every investment changes. You should not, cannot, be just worried about financial returns." — Greg Lernihan
