Chris Nowinski is a former football player at Harvard University and professional wrestler with WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment. After enduring a career-ending head injury, Chris has dedicated his professional life to serving patients and families affected by brain trauma, particularly Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that develops after repeated head injuries. when we attempt to instill certain behaviors or counter / curb certain behaviors we sometimes are parenting out of fear. We need to address the situation as it presents itself and do the work needed on a regular basis. Sometimes the fear of a behavior in the future, or lack of manners, or however it manifests to you outweighs the action and distress and confusion of your kids actions to them. They are acting out from a place of uncomfortability and confusion and are looking to you for leadership and guidance.
