In 2 Samuel 9, we explore one of the most powerful pictures of the kindness of God. David has ascended to the throne and is looking to show kindness for the sake of Jonathan to anyone from the house of Saul. The only person still alive from the house of Saul is a destitute cripple named Mephibosheth.
