This week, we're recapping Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Season 1, Episode 1, "Welcome to the Hellmouth." 🧛‍♀️🦇

Buffy Summers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and her mother have just moved to Sunnydale, CA where she learns is right on top of a Hellmouth--a place where all things undead, unholy and demonic come out to play.

Buffy's loyal Watcher, Giles (Anthony Stewart Head), is the new school librarian who tries to get Buffy out of retirement, which is not difficult once a dead body appears in a gym locker.

Buffy also meets her new friends, the cute computer nerd, Willow (Alyson Hannigan) and her clumsy best friend, Xander (Nicholas Brendan), who immediately falls in love with Buffy. She also becomes semi friendly with the school's bitchy Queen B--Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter).

Buffy meets the mysterious Angel (David Boreanz) one night on her way to the Bronze and he gives her a cryptic message regarding "the Harvest." She has no idea what this means but, she will soon find out.

Sidenote--This is an extra-long episode. We hadn't seen each other in a few weeks and got pretty chatty! But we also wanted to give our Buffy Origin Stories!
