Week 5 was pretty interesting to say the least. Rodney Gallagher vs. Devin Whitlock was pretty interesting due to the fact they are some of the best football players in the WPIAL, but Belle Vernon was still able to smack Laurel Highlands by a score of 56-14. Lamont Payne scored three touchdowns to help Chartiers Valley beat Blackhawk while Central Catholic and Mt. Lebanon both dominated their opponents. Nijhay Burt also had another 5 rushing TD game on Friday against Ligonier Valley in a 40-0 Steel Valley win. In 1A, Rochester took care of business by beating OLSH 34-7 on Saturday afternoon.
