Welcome back to Courtroom Confidential with Joshua Ritter! This week, I share my insights on some of this week’s updates in the true crime world, including:
- Florida woman Sarah Boone prepares to head to trial with her ninth attorney, James Owens. She is facing charges of murdering her boyfriend, Jorge Torres Jr., by zipping him inside a suitcase to die.
- Another twist in the never-ending saga of Adnan Syed, the man made famous in the wildly popular ‘Serial’ podcast, as he returns to court after his murder conviction is reinstated.
- Deobra Redden, the Las Vegas man seen in a viral video leaping over the bench to attack a judge, now heads to trial to face charges of attempted murder.
Additionally, I briefly cover other cases that made headlines this week, including a recent Donna Adelson hearing ahead of her upcoming trial, a change of venue hearing for Idaho University students murder suspect Bryan Kohberger, the trial of Laurie Shaver, accused in the shooting death of her husband, and the latest ruling in the case of Delphi murders suspect Richard Allen.
