Gary Morris is an American singer/songwriter and actor with 5 number one hits and over 25 chart singles. Gary joins Country Music Made Me to talk about singing in church as a kid and how music played a secondary role to sports until College when a summer trip to Colorado with some friends changed everything. From that point it's been a series of "wow" events that have led him to a successful career in music, including being one of the first artists to record "The Wind Beneath My Wings". He talks about how his career began by singing at campaign events for Governor Jimmy Carter and being seen by record executives while singing at a CMA event at the White House. He then talks about his current career which includes his most recent album "Sense of Pride".
