Brooke Kroeger, director of the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University, is the author of an upcoming book about the history of undercover reporting. In this conversation with assistant editor Joel Meares, she argues that undercover reporting is incredibly valuable for its power to affect change in society, and that it should not be dismissed.
