Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. John Goodman is the author the book "Mingus Speaks." John will be chatting with co-hosts Alan Bramwell (Giants of Jazz Radio) and Jose Reyes (Jazz Con Class Radio). This interview will mostly concentrate on this revealing book and also on Mingus' amazing career. He was a genius but was very temperamental and was sometimes very hard to work with as a musician but John somehow was able to find a confort zone for these one-on-one interviews.
