Manage episode 271845262 series 2787990
Presents
Nathan Simmonds
With 23 years in leadership positions and the last 9 years focusing on Leadership development, Nathan comes with an array of incredible life experiences. From living in Brazil and training martial arts through to living in Amsterdam and managing the customer services for Time & Fortune magazine. At the same time, things never were quite right since he was very little, and he struggled with the outside expectation compared to what he dreamed to be doing as result he felt like he didn’t quite fit. These mental struggles first presented themselves as bullying, initially as the bullied then later as the bully, he just didn’t know how to direct his energy and emotions.
And at 24 Nathan, not knowing his mental health was on the floor he overdosed on recreational drugs.
Knowing what he knows about human potential, the need for fulfilment in work and the value of relationships, he now talks about how damaging unfulfilling work can be to our mental health. Having lived all this himself, he now helps others create fulfilment in their work and do the thing they're designed to do.
Nathan’s a qualified Leadership coach, Mental Health first aider and the creator of the MIND mental health coaching model, which is helping Leaders have stronger more confident mental health conversations, with themselves and their teams.
