Jordan Staal's 1st goal of the playoffs, 3 1/2 minutes into the 3rd period, tied the game and ignited a 4-goal outburst as the Canes beat the Rangers 4-1 to force a Game 6 back in Raleigh on Thursday. Carolina was 0 for 3 on the power play - and for the second time in the last three games allowed a shorthanded goal. But, the penalty kill, after allowing the Rangers to score 4 times in their first 9 tries, went 3 for 3 tonight. They have now killed off the last 8 New York power plays.
