This series is all about the oldest stories of Ireland, and the people who came to this land from afar over thousands of years. And when the last group landed, came with 300 ships but they found the island inhabited by the Fír Bolg. As a result of not letting them share the land, the two groups made preparations for war. The hooded crow cawed and circled the battlefield. The plain of Moy Tura, (Maghtuireadh) was where the battle would be fought, on the plain of pillars. Large stone pillars were erected for the bards and poets to watch from above, so they could record the battle below. The slick and sharp Tuath De Dannan wielding the magical artifacts from the northern islands faced the Fír Bolg in the first battle of Moy Tura. The Fír Bolg would need to get help from an ancient sage to help them even compete against these magical beings. They fought fiercely, and they would have been wiped out entirely, had it not been from Sreng, the hero that took the arm from King Nuada and faced him in single combat.
