Show Agenda: Eragon Fan Fiction (sort of), Inheritance Cycle Lore Dive, Why the Eragon movie was SO Bad

This week we are joined by a special guest - Tanja! She is Seb's partner and, far more importantly, a fellow Eragon book lover. This week is entirely based around Eragon and the wider Inheritance Cycle. If you loved the books and hated the movie you welcome home, you have found your people.

We open the show with a self-confessed cringey fan fiction by FanFiction.net author Dencin called Dragon Lore. We read through the first few chapters of this rollercoaster, and it's so well written we only figured out the gender of the main character two and a half chapters in. Theres magic, there are epic chase scenes, there is a man who loses more blood than should be humanely possible, and there is a dragon (sort of...). This is a fan fiction not to be missed.

Next up, after a long break, the AOF lore dive is back, this time taking a deep look into the Inheritance Cycle lore. We discuss what our dragons would be like, how we would use magic to make bank in this fictional world, and answer some of Tanja's most frustrating questions about Paolini's work.

Finally, the reason this episode exists, the four of us discuss how the movie got such a great book series so, so wrong. All of us have our own gripes with the movie, but it's incredible how much they got wrong in a mere 104 minutes. There are too many to list, but a snapshot of our discussion included Saphira growing up in 6 seconds, Angela being a gypsy, and the urgals. Fuck the Urgals.
